Reaves Gallery in San Francisco presents Sweet Dreams, an exhibition of paintings, woodcut block prints and drawings by Jingletown artist Fernando Reyes. Reyes’s work will be on view at Reaves Gallery from March 4 through March 28, 2009. An opening reception will be held on Friday, March 20, from 6 – 9pm. In this exhibition Reyes’s colorful figurative works explore dreams, reflections, and fantasies as saving graces providing hope and nurturance during unsettling times. Fernando hopes that these works will inspire an interplay between his vision and the dreams and fantasies of the viewer.
Fernando Reyes earned his BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1997. He returned to the Bay Area and has lived in Oakland since 1998. His studio is located at Ford Street Studios in Oakland’s Jingletown neighborhood.
