Urban Legend Cellars comes out with Jingletown Wine…

Neighbors and wine lovers,Urban Legend Cellars here in Oakland has produced a new wine named after our neighborhood, Jingletown. It is a blend of : Lodi Grenache, Lodi Syrah, Carneos Pino NoirOwners and winemasters Steve & Marilee Shaffer sent us this message; “Each year we select an Oakland neighborhood and ask “If this neighborhood were a wine what would it taste like?”  Jingletown to me (us) is a vibrant, lighthearted but earnest. Always putting a positive and creative spin on the world around.”

Gracing the unusually shaped bottle will be the IMA Lizard mural and five murals from our Art Wall; Bill Silveira’s ‘Oakland Riveria’, Kim Larson’s ‘Virgin De Guadalupe’, Carlos Jahen’s ‘Neighborhood Dog’ tribute, Saundra Warren’s ‘Community Tree, and pictured is Russ Osterweil’s Earth Day Photo’s,

Tomorrow Friday Sept 14 is going to be an amazing day for art in Jingletown and Alameda.

Several great art shows are right within walking distance Friday night.

Join us September 14th 6-9 pm in Jingletown then take a stroll over the historical green Park Street bridge to Alemeda and see a few more galleries.

The Gray Loft Gallery in Jingletown 2889 Ford Street , Oakland  is pleased to announce our next exhibit: From One Thing to Another – The Art of Recycle. This group exhibition includes assemblage, collage, sculpture, furniture, jewelry and stationary – made of natural or manufactured materials, found objects, or fragments originally not intended as art, but when reassembled these things are transformed into incredible visual statements.
